BE PART OF DISABILITY AWARENESS MONTH - CELEBRATE COMMUNITY!

Each March, National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month is celebrated throughout the United States - a time to celebrate our state's adults and children with disabilities.  The goal of Disability Awareness Month aligns with VSASC's mission of increasing awareness and promoting independence, integration, and inclusion of all people with disabilities.   The 2012 Campaign Theme is "Celebrating Community."  The message to "Ignite community spirit: Get Involved!" calls us to develop relationships with our neighbors, making our community a place where everyone participates and is a valued member.  Join us at VSASC events around the state this month as we continue the creation of liveable, inclusive communities worth celebrating!
